Thank you all for your kind words very very much!

Yesterday was 1 year since Husko passed away...
It is so strange how time is flying yet sometimes it all feels like it happened yesterday...
I was dreading this day for some reason...but i think i managed it ok by trying to make something positive instead of falling into grief and made him a small video with a song i love...
    I hope you like it...

I hope it gives some strength to those still fighting & a little smile to those who had or have been joined by my little Husko...

You know i'm not good with words so i'll just say i really hope everyone, 2 or 4 legged is doing good...& please,
rejoice for those around you...they'll not always be there...

Just in case you are able to read this, let us hear from you. I know things in your country have not been easy lately and you have been on my mind. I pray you and yours are well.

Hello once again, Iraklis!! I can hardly believe so many years have passed! Although I did not have the chance to write to you when you were here before, I still remember reading about brave Husko’s journey. And I hope these last 11 years have treated you with kindness.

Sadly, we don’t have as many active members here now as we did in the past. That makes it extra special when an old friend like you stops by once again! Thank you so much for checking on us, and we’d love to learn more about your life as it is today.

Best wishes to you always from your friends here at K9C,
    Marianne

    Hello!
    Yes, so many years!

These past 11 years had many ups & downs...

As you might have guessed, it was the recent death of my Lemmy that drove me down memory lane.
We were once again plagued by incompetent vets & mis-diagnoses/undiagnosed issues...
And although we had 14 wonderful years together, i can't help but miss the extra 1 week/1 month/1 year we could have had together if incompetent vets & mis-diagnoses/undiagnosed issues weren't the case (again...).

Its even worse this time for me, because last time i had Lemmy to hold me from completely breaking down.

Inevitably i went down memory lane amidst all the grief, guilt and anger
Thankfully, i remembered all the wonderful people that stood with me & helped through this last time, including this forum!

Although Lemmy wasnt a cushpup, maybe i should share our ''adventure'' since there are lessons in there to be taught to dogparents.
Plus, once i do, you would understand my frustration about something that SHOULD have been easily spotted, but vets completely missed...

I’m so sorry to hear about Lemmy. I can imagine what a comfort he remained after you lost Husko. And I can surely understand how empty your life feels now. My last two dogs were Lab girls, an older black girl and a younger yellow girl. The two got along beautifully when they were both alive. When we lost the older one, though, I was surprised at how quickly the younger adjusted to being the “only child.” I remember you describing Lemmy that way, too — as being OK with being the only dog in the house when that time came. But also like for for you and Lemmy, having our little Luna here saved my heart when we lost our older girl. We then ended up losing Luna last year, and the pain of not having anybody here at all has been hard. So much harder, even, than before.

For sure, being able to come here to talk remains a great comfort to me. Unfortunately, though, so many of the folks who were here with you before are no longer writing. As the years have passed and especially as their dogs have passed, people have moved elsewhere . I know that if they *were* here, though, they’d still be wishing you well. And those of us who remain are certainly here to talk, too. So please feel free to share any memories that you wish.

    Once again, welcome back.
    Marianne
