Remembering Corky with Lots of Love
Corky's ashes are home. I now have a sense of closure. There are so many things I want to write about Corky, but it's something I can't do yet.
Thank you everyone for everything.
I think it's now time to move Corky's thread.
Corky will always be loved, and he will never be forgotten. RIP my little one.

Remembering Corky with Lots of Love
Terri -
I have not been on here much as I've been having some computer issues at home.
Came here today and saw the awful news. I cried for you and your sweet baby. I am so sorry for your loss. Your were fortunate to have each other and I know Corky had to have known how much he was loved.
Take care of yourself. You are in my thoughts.

Remembering Corky with Lots of Love
Terri, Before you move Corky's thread I just want to say I loved looking at his photos. What a precious spirit shines through each picture! The love and experiences you two shared will live on. It is because of him that you have been there to comfort and support Kirby and I as we came to this group. God bless his soul and God bless you each new day as you go on, better for having had him in your life.
With fondest aloha,
Tricia and Kirby

Re: Remembering Corky with Lots of Love
Thank you so much my dear friends. Thank you for being here with me, as you were always here for Corky and me.
I miss my little stinker so much. I felt him tapping me this morning because he was ready to eat. When he felt it was time for me to get up, he would always tap me and then give me kisses.
He probably is creating havoc and really enjoying himself, Carrol.
I love all of you.

Re: Remembering Corky with Lots of Love
I want to share a note that Corky's IMS wrote. I got cards from Corky's vet, his IMS, and their staffs. They all wrote the nicest notes.
This is the one that Dr. H. wrote:
"Corky was a very special patient, and we were fortunate to have known him for the past few years. Your love and care kept him going, and I know he'll live on forever in your memories and in your heart."
I was blessed that Corky had a great vet and IMS. I always knew Corky was in good hands. All of their techs and office staff were also great.
-
Re: Remembering Corky with Lots of Love
Oh Terri, those notes mean a lot, don't they. I remember when we first lost Barkis, I went through a period of grieving for our vets in addition. We had spent so much time with them over the years, and especially at the end. It just seemed so strange to suddenly drive past the animal hospital, with no reason left to park and go in. :o :o :o
Everything about my life changed in those first days and weeks. It was so hard.
I know you missed Corky very much when you felt him tapping you. But I hope maybe there was some comfort, too, in knowing that those sweet memories have a life of their own and will remain with you forever.

Re: Remembering Corky with Lots of Love
Dear Terri,
What blessings! To have Corky visit you and let you know he is still by your side, that his love for you is growing as always. I love it when I can feel Crys around. It hurts but it also makes me happy...if that makes sense.
And the notes from the vets mean so very much. To know they also saw what a special boy he was and that he came to mean so much to them, and that your love and attention was noted and recognized as the true power behind his amazing life...something we all know here to be the absolute truth.
Love ya!

Re: Remembering Corky with Lots of Love
Thank you my dear friends for the love and hugs.
I got a cast of Corky's paw print today. Dr. H.'s staff made it for me. Above his paw print, they have his name in the nicest letters, with hearts on each side of his name. I also got a beautiful glass piece from my best friend, with an etched Boston Terrier and Corky's name with 1997-2011.
I was very blessed to have had Corky in my life for so many years, and for having so many very dear and special friends in my life. You all mean so much to me.

Re: Remembering Corky with Lots of Love
I've been thinking about you too, Terri. I'm sure that Corky continues to be a big part of your life, remaining with you in loving memories as you go forward. Our dogs are still all with me that way, even those long gone decades ago. Love is eternal! Isn't that a great blessing?
Please keep in touch and let us know how things are going with you. Did you get your eyes fixed yet?
Aloha and Boston lickies from Kirby,

Re: Remembering Corky with Lots of Love
Dear Terri,
You and Corky are still on my mind every day. I hope that some of the memories of happy times are starting to replace some of the sadness. Interestingly, My Dad had a Boston when he was a kid. He loved that dog more than anything until he passed away at 93. Yes, love does last a long time.
Hugs,
Carrol (and a few Bichon licks from Chloe!)

Re: Remembering Corky with Lots of Love
Thank you my dear friends for your continued thoughts, prayers, love, and hugs. I really appreciate it.
Thanks for asking about my eyes, Tricia. The surgeon doesn't want to do the retina surgery yet, as my cataracts aren't ripe enough. He doesn't want to do surgey on my right eye twice unless I can no longer stand the distortion. He wants me to go back in 6 months to check the progression of everything. For now he is giving me new glasses with a very high powered right lens. He said this should help my vision.
-
Re: Remembering Corky with Lots of Love
Sending you love and strength daily, dear lady with binocular glasses. :D
HUGS!!!!!!!
-
Re: Remembering Corky with Lots of Love
Thanks for the update, Terri. I hope those new glasses help. Be safe out there on the roads if you're driving.
I'm thinking of you especially as the holidays get started.
Love to you and Angel Corky,
Tricia and Kirby
-
Re: Remembering Corky with Lots of Love
Thank you Leslie and Tricia. I love you both. Please give your fur babies an extra big hug from me. I'm not going anywhere for the holidays, except to walk across the street to my friend's house. I hope you both have a Happy Thanksgiving.
Thanks for making me laugh, Leslie. The binocular lady got her new glasses this morning. :D It's going to take me time to adjust to them, especially the right eye.

Re: Remembering Corky with Lots of Love
It's 4 weeks today that Corky was released. I miss him so much.
I had his urn on his blanket in front of the fireplace. It's now in my curio cabinet with Jay's urn.

Re: Remembering Corky with Lots of Love
OMG big sis,
I can't believe it has been 4 weeks already that we lost our precious little boy. I know its surreal for you as it is for all of us when we lose someone so very special as Corky.
I am tightly and lovingly embracing you today, across the miles and holding you and our boy deep in my heart.
I love you both....
