Hello. I have a scheduled LDDS test on Saturday for my 6.5 year old French Bulldog Suki. Vet is 99% sure it's cushings. She has the common signs of increased water intake/increased peeing and accidents in the house, loss of hair on top of her head, behind, back legs and tummy. She had a UTI in Nov of 2016 and was fine until this past Dec. Had another one (always had a bit of hair loss on top o her head and always thougt that was just her) and 4 weeks ago the increased water intake and peeing problems got worse and I noticed the more hair loss above.

Here results from blood work and urine test from two weeks ago are as follows: Her Thyroid test came back normal accept a 2+ Result on her Hemolysis everything else in in range

Is it easy to tell if this is the beginning stages and I've caught it early enough as her blood work from Nov 2016 don't show the same results. I'm hoping we can manage this and she can still have a long life ahead

Hi Tina and welcome to you and Suki! :)

I've approved your post so members can see it and start replying when they can. You might want to check your spam or junk folder for a message from K9Cushings that you can reply to that will set up your post to go right thru from now on. ;)

Why does your vet think she has Cushing's? From the lab work so far I don't really see anything that indicates Cushing's. We typically see VERY high values for ALP and hers are normal as are the CHOL and TRIG as well as the T4. What is a bit concerning are the low lymphocytes as this can be an indication of Lymphoma and Bulldogs are among the breeds prone to this disease. The signs you mention are in keeping with Cushing's tho in spite of the lab work. I would want to ask the vet about the possibility of Lymphoma when you see her Sat just to ease your mind (and mine! :D I'm a big ole worry wort!)

I'm glad you found us and look forward to learning more about your sweet girl! You need to know that you and Suki now belong to our little family here and we will be with you every step of the way - no matter what.

Hugs,
Leslie

PS I took the liberty of adding Suki's name to the title so you can find her thread more easily. We like to keep all posts about each pup in one thread. It's easier to keep up with the history that way.

Hello and welcome from me too. Do let us know what the LDDS test results are. (there will be 3 values, a pre, 4 hour and 8 hour result)

It is possible that it is cushings and the LDDS should tell us more. Have you discussed possible treatment options with the vet if the results are positive?
