Hi,
I am Robin from kerala,India.

I have a bully kutta named Booto. He was very playful and active. But his activity level is very low for last one month. He is not taking food properly.Drooling is also there.I have taken him to vet. doctor. They gave medicine saying that he has some acidic problems. When I gave the medicine he became active. But when the medicine is over he is going back to the same old situation. That happened twice.Previously he was not interested to get inside the cage. Now he is not coming out from the cage. Somebody please help me for identifying the issue. please please...

Regards,
Robin G

Hi, Robin -- welcome to you and Booto!

I'm so sorry your pup is not feeling well and I know how worried you must be. Booto's symptoms could be the result of many illnesses or diseases so it is very hard to say what is going on. Does your region of India have any specialists that you could take Booto to for a second opinion? I am curious what medication your vet prescribed.

Has your dog been diagnosed with Cushing's Disease? We will do our best to help you, regardless, but our forum's focus is on the treatment of Cushing's Disease so that is the area about which we have the most knowledge.

Hello Robin, and welcome to you and your dog. I am very sorry that he is not well. We will try to help you as much as we can, but our website mainly deals with dogs who have been diagnosed with Cushing's Disease. This is a disease that usually makes dogs very hungry instead of not hungry. So I am guessing something else may be wrong with your dog.

Many of us have been faced with stomach or intestinal problems with all our dogs, though, whether or not they have Cushing's. So hopefully we can still help. Can you tell us the name of the medicine your dog has been taking? That will be a good place to start. Also, can you tell us whether your dog has had any other health problems in the past?

Thanks so much,
Marianne
