Hi everyone,
My name is Shirley and I have two black lab mixes from the same litter (brother and sister).
My male, Ebon, may have Cushings according to his vet. Ebon is not displaying the typical thirst and peeing that I have read about. His symptoms have been a 6 month long spree with various skin infections, scabs, and losing hair. He also appears to have developed "tumors" that are aggressively growing. The first 3 that have been removed were biopsied as "inflammation." He just recently had 2 more removed and we are waiting for the results of the biopsies.
The blood work had been normal except for the recent one.
ALT. 212 u/l. (10-125)
ALKP. 1483 u/l. (23-212)
GGT. 9 u/l (0-7)
The remaining lab numbers are normal. We are seeing a dermatologist in 2 weeks since we cannot get his skin disorder under control.
From the pictures of CC, his skin does not resemble this as there is no red inflammation. He just has small brown scabs over his entire body including legs, stomach, tail, face, back and ears. He looks like he's either been in a dog fight or has some sort of mange.
Does these symptoms appear to resemble Cushings?
Thanks,
Shirley
