I have a collie (rescue dog) that was diagnosed with Cushing's. I live in the Rockland/Westchester NY area. Does anybody know of a Vet that is an expert in treating Cushing's? I am willing to travel in the tristate area.

Thanks

Hello and welcome to the forum.
I have manually approved your post so that members can respond to your question.

You can use this link to search for a specialist in your area, you would be looking for a small animal Internal medicine specialist (IMS)

http://find.vetspecialists.com/

I however, often find that it is best to call around and find to vets and ask if they have treated cushings dogs successfully and have a lot of experience with cushings.

What symptoms does your foster dog have that made them test for cushings?
What tests where done and do you have copies of those tests so you can tell us what values where high/low and specifically if an ACTH or LDDS was done and what those values were?

This just helps us to give you better feedback. We do tend to ask a lot of questions.

Have Diabetes and Thyroid, Kidney issues been ruled out? (they often have same symptoms as cushings)

Try the Animal Medical Center in Manhattan. I think they have just about any specialist you might need.

Best,
Joan
