Hello fellow animal lovers. Am so glad to find this site. Thanks to moxees_dad for the invite. I have a 12 yr. old chihuahua. just over two years ago He got real sick. he started collapsing at the same time his left eye started hurting him, and we could see it was inflamed and a little distended. We took him to the ER. They lowered the pressure in his eye. We still had to have his eye removed. They said he had an infection behind the eye. He was still having problems and started eating a lot. He would scream for food all day. After $1000 they told use possible cushings. I was affirmed and now his numbers are finally stable. He has severe itching and skin outbreaks. Moxees_dad already gave me some great info. I am looking forward to learning more for the sake of my Rocky. Thank you all for this site

What tests were done to confirm Rocky's Cushing's diagnosis? If a chemistry/CBC blood panel was done could you post any abnormal values that are listed along with the reference ranges and units of measurement. Was an urinalysis done, if so, what were the findings?How much does Rocky weigh? Is he on medication for the Cushing's, and if so, what is it and what is the dosage? Is Rocky taking any other herbs/supplements/medications?
