Hi, I just found this forum after losing my Cushing's gal, Suka, 2 weeks ago. In fact, I go pick up her ashes tomorrow. She lived about 3 1/2 years post diagnosis. But, they were great, healthy years once she was regulated with Vetoryl. I've learned much about Cushing's since this journey started, but there is so much more to learn. I even put up some info about it on my website as I am learning about more Siberians getting this in their elder years. So, I put up a Cushing's page (with pre & post pics) as well as her memorial (on the Memorial page)...

Now, that I've found this great resource, I'd like to add this into the site, too.
I look forward to being part of this group. Thanks for listening.

Welcome to our site. I am so very sorry for your loss. I know your Suka was very lucky to have you as her caretaker during all of her wonderful years. I have added her to our special remembrance list in our In Loving Memory section.

Sorry to read about the passing of Suka, my condolences on your loss of your beautiful girl, the pictures on your website show what a great job you did of taking care of her and blows what we often hear of a 2-year prognosis out the water. So thank you for stopping by as I am sure that will give lots of hope to our new members to read that. She really was a gorgeous dog. Big hugs xxx

I am so sorry about the loss of your sweet Suka. :( I just lost my Squirt in May so I know how you are feeling. Picking up those ashes is such a bittersweet event, swinging us from one polarity to the next, second to second. But our girls never leave us; Suka will always be by your side, watching over you with the same love and devotion as usual. And one day, you will hold your baby again, never to be parted.

Our deepest sympathies,
Leslie, Trinket, Brick, Sophie, Fox and all our Angels

Thanks, Trish for the nice note. This is a good forum and I wish I had found it sooner. But, now is a lot better than never. Sometimes, I think Sukiyaki leads me places, now that she is North of the Rainbow Bridge...maybe here; to this Forum, who knows?

I do want to thank you all for the warm welcome. It was difficult getting her ashes today, but all part of the process. Things are just starting to get back on a schedule. It has been a process for the rest of my Siberian family, as well.
Leslie, my condolences on your loss of Squirt, too. May isn't that long ago..probably seems like yesterday some days, huh?
Terry, thank you for putting her in the memory section. I haven't been able to get to that part yet, but will! Some days there isn't enough time.
I'll try to get to my site tomorrow and add the link and will let you know when it is up and running.
Bye for now and thanks again.

I have the link up on my website...http://www.amaroksiberians.com/siberian-wisdom/cushings/...it's about half way down. Also got Suka's ashes back and she is in her rightful place with the others who have gone before her. I will be putting up her photo on the memory page.
