Just wondering if anyone has comments about how long after starting medication their dog's symptoms started to go away.

Hi and welcome to the forum.

We can't really give you an answer to your question without a lot more information. For instance, we would need to know how much your dog weighs, what dose s/he is getting and is it once a day or twice a day? How long has s/he been receiving treatment and have you had any acth stimulations done since starting treatment. I can tell you that if the dose is adequate, you can start seeing improvement in symptoms within a few days. Some symptoms, such as loss of coat, skin issues and rebuilding muscle mass, can take much longer. What symptoms does your dog have? Would you please let us know which tests were done to diagnose the dog. It would be great if you could post the test results. The more information you can give us, the more relevant and meaningful our feedback will be.

Hello and welcome to the forum.

That is a loaded question for sure and depends on so many different factors, such as symptoms are you talking about, what medication are you using, breed, weight, dosage. As Glynda said, if you get Everything right on the dosage, then some symptoms will clear up quicker than others. Skin issues like calicunosis cutis take awhile, but often, if everything comes together perfectly, drinking and urinating you can see clear up faster weeks as opposed to months for cc. All bets are off though if you are under or over dosing.

Any information specific that you can give us will help us to give you are more definitive answer.
