My sweet Emma was diagnosed with cushings in December. We have done all the lab work, all the medications and we feel for certain we just didn't get it soon enough. She deteriorated so quickly. Her muscle function is failing in her back legs, she is barley eating and is so sad all of the time. Our vet is amazing and has been a friend for 12 years. We have finally made the terribly hard decision to say goodbye to her this weekend.

I have read so many posts in the past 2 days, I wish I had found you months ago.

I just wanted to thank everyone for all of their posts, even at this late time in her diagnosis they have brought me comfort.

So we are keeping her comfortable with pain medications, spending lots of time with her and giving lots of love and will say goodbye by her side. Knowing we are not the only ones who are going through this is helpful.

Hi and welcome to you and sweet Emma,

I am so sorry for what you and Emma are going through. The decision to let them go is always so hard but it comes from the deepest love we have for them.

If it is asking too much, I completely understand but I was wondering if you could tell us more about Emma? What medication is she on, and what is her dosage? Has an ACTH stimulation test been done recently?

My heart goes out to you, and please remember we will always be here for you.

Hugs, Lori

Oh sweetheart, I am so sorry and wish you had found us sooner, too. At least in time to talk a bit before taking this step. This is such an incredibly difficult decision to make, especially alone. But my heart is with you and I hope you will come back to us and tell us all about your sweet Emma.

Hugs,
