I know this post should go in the EE section but more people will see it here. If you are in areas hit by these supercells the last couple of days, please, please let us know you are alright.

Hugs,
Leslie

Looks like Louisiana and Florida are also at risk today. So anyone in the path of these supercells please check in when you can.

My brother lives in central Louisiana and he got quarter size hail, wind and rain but no tornados today!

My heart and prayers go out to those who suffered so much loss yesterday!

Good morning all.

Y'all are the reason I always say this forum has been my Saving Grace. Thank y'all for being concerned.

I'm in "Lower Alabama" and it started storming Monday, stopped for a while yesterday then started back up around 3:00 p.m., all through the night and still going strong. I have NEVER seen lighting that looks like this. It is the strangest ever. Most of the roads south of I-10 are flooded and closed. My husband works for CenturyLink Phone Company and as he was leaving the house at 5:00 a.m. he was stopped by Emergency Management and told to stay home and off the roads. I work at City Hall in Foley, Alabama. We were told not to try to come in until around 11:00 a.m.

I got a message from my daughter (she lives in Tacoma, WA so she's safe!) last night around 11:30 p.m. that her friend's mother's car was found in a washed out area in Pensacola, Florida, with the door open. The mother has not been located. Please keep this family in your prayers.

Much love and prayers to you all, and to all those in the Lower States, you will be in my prayers through out this storm.

Good to hear from you, Donna! You were one I was concerned about. This system just isn't losing steam and has tracked all across the south over the past couple of days. Just horrible. I pray your daughter's friend's mom is found - I saw a news segment on that very situation - may have been this lady.

Oh my god Donna, how very scary for your daughters friends mom. I hope they find her soon and that she is okay!
Leslie and I were just speaking yesterday how Florida was getting hit too. :( This system is a nightmare for so many.

Donna,

that is so frightening! I hope that her mother is safe in a shelter somewhere and just hasn't been able to call someone.

Oh my y'all, I have been through hurricanes that didn't do this much damage. I had to take Sammy to Pensacola, Florida to his post-op doctors appointment this morning. We had to turn around and try two different roads just to get out of Elberta. What is usually a 35 minute drive turned into a 2 hour drive there and the destruction we saw was unreal. It took us longer to get home because of more flooding, caved in roads, stranded or crashed vehicles, debris on the roads and the traffic. I'll post some pictures tomorrow.

Have a good night.

Donna
