Welcome to you and Bella. You will see that I have taken the liberty of moving your post so as to create a new thread that is your very own. This way, it will be easier for our members to reply to you directly.

I have only a moment to post, but there is a condition called SARDS that results in blindness in conjunction with other physical symptoms that are shared with Cushings. Here's a link that explains more, and if you perform a forum search using the term "SARDS," you'll find threads for other dogs who are dealing with similar problems.

I am very glad you've found us, and I know that others will also stop by soon to welcome you as well.

Hi and welcome to you and Bella!

I am sorry for the reasons that brought you here but glad you found us. If you could get copies of all tests that were done on Bella and post any abnormal levels that would help a lot. We are especially interested in the results of any diagnostic and/or monitoring tests for Cushing's. Could you also tell what symptoms Bella has that led you or your vet to test for Cushing's in the first place? How much does Bella weigh? Is Bella's treatment for Cushing's Trilostane/Vetoryl or Lysodren/Mitotane? Is it in a liquid form? Was Bella diagnosed with pituitary or adrenal Cushing's?

I am sorry for all these questions but the more we know about sweet Bella the better our feedback can be, ok?

Please know we will help in any way we can so do not hesitate to ask all the questions you want. ;)

Hugs, Lori

Hello, it sounds like you are dealing with SARDS, which has many of the same symptoms as cushings, in addition to the blindness. Usually those symptoms go away on there own after a period of time.

Make sure since you started the trilostane (?) that you get checked to guarantee the cortisol isn't going too low.

Every dog is different as to when you see results.
