Others more knowledgable than I am will be along shortly, but they'll want to know the dog's weight, pre-diagnosis symptoms that took you to the vet, what tests were done to diagnose Cushing's, what dosage of Vetoryl the dog is on and for how long, how his/her symptoms have changed since treatment, any follow-up tests that were done and actual test results if possible. The more information you can provide, the better these folks can help you!

Please post the test results, Maggie's age and weight, and the dosage of Vetoryl that she's getting asap. Too high of a dosage can produce the symptoms that you have described (Addison's) and this can be life threatening.

Hi and welcome to you and your Mum's dog,

The most important questions have been asked.

The first rule of thumb is not to give your dog any cushings medications if she is not feeling well or lost her appetite. We don't know for sure but the medication may be too much for her.

We need to know her weight

We need to know what mg of Vetoryl she is getting.

Hi and welcome from me as well!

Some medications need to be used with caution with Vetoryl. Please do tell us more about your mum's dog and the medications she is taking.

Love and hugs, Lori

Hi:
I wanted to welcome you to the forum. You will get all the help and support you need to help you dog on here.Could you please post the testing you had done to confirm the Cushings diagnosis? It would help so everyone could read it and advise you. Do you have a vet experienced in diagnosis and treatment of Cushings. If your dog is not eating I would not give the Vetoryl. Has you vet given you prednisone in case you need it if the dogs cortisol goes too low? If not you need to ask for some. Does you dog have diarrhea? How much does your dog weigh and what is the dosage you are giving? How old is your dog? Any other testing done to rule out other things? I would not give any more Vetoryl until you know the answers to these questions. Keep copies of all testing and post it on here for help, and keep a daily doggie diary you will refer to many times. Cushings is one of the hardest diseases to diagnose. There are many other things that have similar symptoms that it could be that is why we need to know about the testing. What are your dogs symptoms? Hoe you baby is feeling better. Blessings
