I am new to this thread. I have a Corgi that has Cushings and he is on the drug Vetoryl one a day. He seemed to be doing better but now has relapsed and is worse in the back end. I am in contact with my Vet and have had the blood tests and the Vet seems to think he needs to be on a higher dose of the medication. I am curious about Ellen who wrote that she has her dog on Milk Thistle and L-Glutamine and was wondering where I could get this and if she just gets it from the Health Food Store and the dosage. Thanks.

Hi Sandi,

Welcome to you and your dog! I noticed that you had posted this reply on another member's thread, and I have taken the liberty of moving it so as to create a thread of your very own. This way, it will be easier for our members to reply to you directly.

It will be very helpful if you will be willing to tell us more about your dog's history and also his current Vetoryl dose and monitoring test results. If the current dose is too low, hopefully an increase will help improve the muscle weakness over time. I'm sure that other folks will also be chiming in with suggestions regarding supplements.

But in the meantime, welcome, and I'm so glad you've found us.

Hi and welcome from me too.
A couple quick questions, how much does your corgi weigh? what does was he on? What were the results of the ACTH test to determine he might need an increase, specifically the post number?
I'm not sure what the dosage is, I get mine from the vet, but you can get from health store, or just order online.
