Pet insurance advice needed please.

do you have pet insurance? What should I look for and who covers all of the Cushing's stuff and related illnesses?

Hi Valerie,
I don't currently have pet insurance for Jasper, but have inquired at several companies. None of them cover any pre-existing conditions, or anything related to anything pre-existing. I am looking into maybe getting it for my 1 yr old mini schnauzer though, she is healthy as far as I know. I need to seriously look into it when I have a little more time, if that ever happens! Hope that saves you some time.

we have had VPI pet insurance for our pups for the last 20 years or so.while going through all the stuff with milo lots of stuff was covered but they do have a cap on how much they pay out.it did help and in the past was helpful with my other pups,however like tina said they can't have a pre exisitng disease..1-800-540-2016.can't hurt to give a call...patty(milo)meka xoxox

Hi. I have the AKC insurance on one of my doxies and 24PetWatch
866-275-7387 on both of my shelter cats. I have not ever used it before but going to put it to the test today. We are heading off to the vet right now with one of them. She's been limping since last night. Does not look like a break. Wish us luck.

Are you calling around for insurance yet? I haven't found one that takes pre-existing conditions like cushings. So let us know what you find out.
One of our other members has VPI insurance all and says good things about them.

I have Pet Plan Insurance and it rocks. Will never ever be without it. And if you talk with someone.......get transferred above whomever answers the call....you might be able to speak to them and explain things and see if they wont waiver your baby and their needs in.
