Hi, guys! I have a question.

My sweet Molly girl that passed away just over 2 years ago used to take a cranberry supplement that cured a UTI she had for over a year and also kept her from getting more. I have a friend in need of that cranberry supplement for her dog, but I can't remember the name!

It was something more than just normal cranberry supplement. I feel like the second ingredient started with an M but I could be wrong. I had to order from a website that required my vet's information (but not a prescription). It was a human medication.

Anyone know what I am talking about? Thanks for your help!

Hi,

Not sure this is what you are looking for, but here is one supplement that requires approval from your vet -

Crananidin is a scientifically formulated cranberry extract product. It’s given to help support urinary tract health in dogs.

Crananidin’s cranberry extract contains compounds called “proanthocyanidins” or “PACs”. These PACs work to help stop certain bacteria from “sticking” or attaching to the inner lining of the bladder wall allowing the bacteria to be flushed out in the urine.

...Crananidin is available only from your veterinarian. As your pet’s health care professional, your veterinarian is best qualified to decide if Crananidin may help your dog and can monitor your dog’s response.

I use dried cranberries as treats and added to the feed when needed but not all pups will eat the berries. ;)

Hope this helps!
