Sooty, 12 y/o Scottie - Just diagnosed

Hi my name is Sue, and my furbabe is Sooty. Yesterday we were told that she has Cushings :confused:. we have never heard of this. Sooty is 12 yrs old and I don't want to loose her. Any help will be much apreciated...We're from Staffordshire UK.
PS. We also have two westies and another scottie. their names Lucy 14, Poppy 12 and Sasha 1.

Welcome to you and Sooty! I am so sorry for the reasons that brought you here but very happy you found us.

I was wondering if you could round up copies of all tests that were done on Sooty and post any abnormalities listed, here. Does she have any other health issues? Is Sooty taking any other herbs/supplements/medicines? How much does she weigh? What symptoms does she display? I apologize for all the questions but the more information we know about your girl the better our feedback will be, ok?

Cushing's is not a death sentence and when properly treated and properly monitored, dogs can live out their normal life spans. Please know we will help in any way we can so do not hesitate to ask any and all questions.

Hi there!

I want to welcome you as well. I can totally understand how you are feeling because even though I had heard of Cushing's, I was still very scared and worried when my Hannah got diagnosed. As Lori said, with proper treatment, a dog can still live a normal life.

She already asked you to post test results (abnormal ones), any meds and other health conditions Sooty has, and it would be helpful if you also shared the symptoms Sooty exhibits.
