Welcome to you and your pup! I noticed you had added this post to another member's thread, but I have taken the liberty of moving it so as to create a thread of your very own. This way, it will be easier for our members to reply to you directly.
Can you please tell us a bit more about your dog's entire health history, including the symptoms and testing that led to the Cushing's diagnosis? Also, has he had a monitoring ACTH performed lately? If you could find out the actual test numbers, that would be great -- just to make sure that the trilostane dose is truly at a therapeutic level. I'm afraid I don't know anything about PPA, but hopefully some of our other members will.
Once again, I'm very glad you've found us!

Hi and welcome to you and your baby! :)
PPA is Proin, a drug used for urinary incontinence. We have members who's babies take this so I hope they will be along to share their experiences with you soon. From what I read, it should be used in caution with dogs who have high blood pressure or heart disease but no mention of interactions with drugs like Trilo.
The more info you can give us about your baby's medical history, the better. Any actual tests results from recently and when he was first diagnosed would help us a great deal. We love details, so don't worry about writing a book. ;)
In that vein, I have a few more questions for you. How much does your baby weigh? What signs were you seeing prior to treatment starting and have you seen those signs decrease or disappear? What prompted testing for Cushing's in the first place? Does he have any other health conditions that you are aware of? Is he on any other meds, supplements or herbs? If so, what and what for? Do you know if your baby has the pituitary or adrenal form of Cushing's? Is he intact or neutered?
Cognitive dysfunction - are you seeing any other indications of this such as circling, staring at walls, seeming lost or confused in known areas? If so, there is a drug called Anipryl, and probably others in that same class, that can help with CCD. Something to keep in the back of your mind if needed on down the road. ;)
I'm glad you found us and look forward to learning more as time passes. I want you to know that you and your baby are no longer along on this journey. You are now a member of our family and we will be with you every step of the way. Never hesitate to ask questions and we will do our best to help you understand.
Hugs,
Leslie and the gang

I have used Proin on 2 different dogs, female boxers, with great results. Neither one was diagnosed with Cushings, though.

I have also used Proin on my 10 yr old female boxer and had great results. It stopped the incontinence almost completely. This was before we found out she had Cushings. Once we began treatment with Trilostane, I was able to discontinue the use of the Proin. As was already mentioned, you may want to repeat the ACTH and see if the Cushings is being managed at the right levels. This could cause the continued incontinence as well. Good luck with the treatment. We're all in this together :).
