Moderator's note, I have copied your visitor's message and posted it here so members could see it and respond back.

hi. i found your forum last night. we have a 6(+) rescued schipperke. we have had her about 7 months. as a rescue her personality has been evolving. she has a beautiful coat however wear from the harness has not grown in, a patch the vet shaved in may has not grown back, she pants excessively and has hind quarters sensitivity. she had a bad reaction to 'bio spot' flea and tick med on 9/19 (generally acting possessed, rolling and rubbing her back, rubbing her face along the floor and curtains, twitchy, excessive drinking - although she has always drank often). that behavior has somewhat subsided and in the past 10 days she has started limping, sits all the time even when she eats and has been slower that her usual self. we had blood work done about 5 days ago that revealed a LIPA count of 4856U/L. previous work showed a high EOD 1.72K/uL. i suspect cushings and will be seeing our regular vet today. any thoughts would be appreciated. thank you

I only have a moment to post, but wanted to welcome you and your sweet girl.

With the lipase being very elevated I was wondering if a cPL test was done to confirm pancreatitis?

I am sure the "others" will be along to welcome you and give you support and advice.

Love and hugs,
Lori

Hi, i hope you find amazing support and information here. I know I sure have and many others as well have. I am not familiar with a EOD test, as i know that also stands for canines who do special training to perform certain work. What other tests or results do you have that would ready high? what is her ap? has her liver been checked?
hope she is doing alright. take care

Hi and welcome. I was just wondering as well about pancreatitis. What was her Amylase level? When that and Lipase are elevated, at least in my experience (have a 9-yr-old Yorkie who has a strong history of pancreatitis flares) it's an indicator. Has she specifically been tested for Cushing's yet? Please post what you found out at the vet, hope she is feeling better tonight. We're all here for each other.
