Anybody Want A Dog?

My house was broken into last night by two robbers who locked me in the bathroom, and proceeded to steal all they could carry. My watchdog, "Killer", did not alert me, and for this reason I am giving him away.

I no longer want a dog - I´m installing an electric fence and detection devices with alarms. They´re cheaper and more reliable. For those interested in adopting the dog please send an e-mail urgently.

A photo of "Killer" is attached below.

Thank you for making me laugh.
I think I have a dog like that. Last time we had an earthquake, not reaction out of Apollo. I thought he was supposed to sense if there is one?
But I am still going to keep him for all the other reasons I love him.
Hugs Sonja and Apollo

Send him my way looks like a good buddy for my brother-in-law!

By the way,,did that law pass in California that says an adopted dog must be microchipped? I heard about that the other day and how there were people against it? Why would someone be against it?

Christy, some people are against micro chipping because the chips are linked to cancer. Then there are probably other people who don't want to have to spend the money for chipping. Those people should remain petless.

My 3 are chipped, it would just break my heart to lose one of my furry friends. I know chipping doesn't guarantee they will be returned but I think it sure has to tip the scale in my direction somewhat.

There was an event here about a month ago sponsored by a rescue organization that allowed pet owners to get their dogs chipped for $10 by a vet, of course that was on site.

I totally agree with you, Christy. All of our rescues are chipped before they are allowed to go to their forever homes. No matter how much due diligence you do before placing a dog in the perfect home, stuff happens. Thanks to chips, we've gotten calls from shelters over the years whose owners have either breached the terms of the contract and not returned the dog to us or the dog escaped and ended up in jail or the owner passed away and family members dumped the dog at the shelter.

All of my dogs are chipped too and despite the concern about cancer, I would still recommend that pet owners chip their dogs. Unless you have a dog like my Lulu who can't wear a collar or halter because they tear her skin, a collar or halter with your phone number is a must. However, the double security of chipping and registering that chip can make the difference between life and death for your dog.
