I still see so many people driving around with their pets in their laps. It may be fine for a short cruise around the neighborhood with their SNOOTS out the window. However, if someone hits YOU, your beloved pet may fly through the windshield. Some are not aware that there are safety restraints available for their precious pets. Here is just one link available. My bichons love their "lookout" car seats (in house and out). They can sit up high and stick their snoots out the window and I have no fear of them jumping out since they are harnessed in.
