A Dog's Prayer

Now I lay me down to sleep,
The king-size bed is soft and deep.
I sleep right in the center groove
My human being can hardly move!
I've trapped her legs, she's tucked in tight
And here is where I pass the night
No one disturbs me or dares intrude
Till morning comes and "I want food!"
I sneak up slowly to begin
my nibbles on my human's chin.
She wakes up quickly,
I have sharp teeth-
I'm a puppy, don't you see?
For the morning's here
and it's time to play
I always seem to get my way.
So thank you Lord for giving me
This human person that I see.
The one who hugs and holds me tight
And shares her bed with me at night!

Oh Glynda, so very true!!!! :D Even a king sized bed seems like a cot when you have three girls who are on your legs....and of course I let them. Thank you for sharing this.

If I have a bad headache, cuddling in bed with my pups always helps. Something calming and reasurring about it;)

Oh, how sweet! And so very true!

My girls wake me every morning...Squirt whining and growling while pawing and nosing with Trink twisting and rolling like a little otter in the creek, her mouth wide open making her play growl noise. :p Mornings are a joy no matter how I feel because of them! :D:D

that is very sweet...they find the darndest places to lay down and then you can't move; I miss my morning nudges and licks....the eagerness to be fed....I could never move fast enough....:)
