The above was posted in the on-line edition of the Az. Republic tonight. I'm very familiar with the area, so when they say this pup had a guardian angel, she really did. There is a major freeway on the south side of this mall, along with the busy surface streets. It really is great to see someone who truly cared about this girl, & gave her a chance for a forever home. BOO, to the idiots who dumped her in the area.

Thank you Debbie for posting this.

This could be my Cailey's story. Someone dumped her, on her own for 6-7 months or longer - do not really know. Ran whenever you got close. Frankly, if it were not for the paper man who somehow was able to get close enough to her to let her know not all humans are crap that well, we all know. She would follow him in the early morning hours as he did delivered his papers and one day finally let him pet her.

I tried and tried to get her and she would get within 5-10 feet and if you moved toward her she ran like lightening. Food was not even an enticement. The shelter attempted numerous times and finally got her ---- of which within a few hours, she was now in her forever home.

Thank you Debbie,

It's nice to read a "Happy ending" story like this in the morning :) when there are so many out there that need help.

What a great story....thanks for posting. I've been on that freeway for a few miles and now I know why Chandler looked so familiar in your location address!
