102 here today and no matter how dry the heat may be, it's really humid within a two foot radius of me. :D

I played basketball today on the other side of town. I drove home, across central Phoenix, about 3:00 p.m. and the thermometer in my car (always accurate) ranged from 115 to 117 the entire trip. Plus, by Phoenix standards it is fairly humid. I got home and dove in the pool and it felt like a jacuzzi. The water was not refreshing and was 93 degrees.

Hey guys you are making me jealous.

Lucky if it is 10C (about 50F) here and although I don't like it when it gets into the 100'sF I would like it to be a little warmer.

I'll take that any day. Last week it got to the 103 degrees mark here in the mountains. It was so sticky from the humidity too it made you feel sick.

I'm with ya'll wanting the cool temps! Heat and humidity are cruel to this old broad! :p We've been putting ice blocks in our pool to cool it down when we want to spend some time in there. Works pretty good for a while anyway but really makes it hard to navigate the air mattresses. :p And the Pug, Sophie, thinks they have been added for her pleasure and tries to ride them! :D

Having lived in So Cal and GA, I gotta say that the upper 90's here in GA feels way worse than 100+ in Cali. I've been grumbling since Memorial day over the humidity. However, I do remember back in the 80's in OC, it hit 112 degrees on an April first (I'm no fool . . . that was ridiculous no matter what the humidity!) But I also know that you lucky people in AZ deal with well over 110+ quite often. I remember once it was 98 at midnight when I was driving thru Phoenix with my son and no a/c in his van! :eek::eek: Sue
