First, I have always liked Mark Twain. Second, I was sitting around thinking of possible dogs names and thought . . . . Finn (or Huck) and Sawyer and Becky, since I want to adopt a couple more pups soon. So I went online and saw in his list of works, a book named A Dog's Tale (1904). Naturally, Google Books had it online so I started reading. It's not very long and a quick read. I highly recommend it to all dog lovers.

Here's the Google Books link. But have the kleenex ready. Sad, sad, sad. :(:(:(

couldn't get that link to work, but maybe one (or both) of these will work?

(still crying after reading it ...)

Thanks, Cushy. I tested it right after I posted it and the link worked for me, so maybe it's a difference in our browsers or something. The link I posted connects to one of the original copies of the book, held at a university. No matter . . . it's worth reading.
