A tattoo for Pallie

I just posted 3 pics (so far) to my gallery. I recently got Pallie's actual paw print tattoo'd on my foot. I'm not one really into tattoos (this was my first), but I really wanted this. Every time I look down, I'll see her. And when I look up again, I know I can take a step forward because she is always with me. It's on my left foot because that's the side she walked on. The shading is beautiful as if the sun were shining into our faces and warming our hearts. The paw print was from a plaster/clay imprint kit I got from Petsmart. The artist traced it for the actual shape and size of the way the imprint happened with her standing on it.

(and for those wondering, it did hurt some but not too bad. It was the best pain I've ever felt. I'd do it again in a heartbeat. I transfered some of my emotional pain to a physical one and it feels good).

What a very unique and beautiful way to have her with you, I mean I know she is with you always...you know what I mean.

The tattoo is absolutely breathtaking...when I saw her footprint...Awww...the tears started to flow.

On top of the foot...OUCH!!!:eek: yep that had to hurt quite a bit.

You're such an amazing person Steph and I feel so blessed to know people like you in my life.

I know she is always with me too, regardless of ink on my foot. Now I have something physical to see that is her, only her, and always her. It's really the only living piece of her physical being I have and now it's a part of me too... forever and ever. When I'm 80 and losing my memory I will always have the tattoo on my foot that will remind me that I had it pretty great for 12 years with a special girl.

What a great thing to do. I have never been much of a tattoo person but I have been watching LA and Miami Ink on Pay TV and have started to see the art in it. It seems lots of the tattoos are done as memorials and I think the idea is nice, not sure if I could stand the pain though.

The tattoo is beautiful.

I know so many people who have gotton tattoos just because they felt some pressure from pop society, and I just know in my heart many of these folks will come to regret their choice but,

When I'm 80 and losing my memory I will always have the tattoo on my foot that will remind me that I had it pretty great for 12 years with a special girl.

It is clear you will not be regretting your choice.
